An undergraduate module in Glasgow which developed essential business knowledge for biomedical engineering students. The course introduced key concepts including marketing, operations, and finance. My grade for the module ranked in the top band of results.
SensUs is an annual, international competition in which the aim is to design a novel biosensor for a particular species: this year's target was the Influenza A virion. I helped develop an innovative business plan that maximised growth by leveraging several revenue streams. Our business plan also incorporated several initiatives to offset the environmental impact of our enterprise. The team placed fourth out of fourteen institutions globally for our overall business strategy.

Certification required submission of a four-page report about the development of a hypothetical tech product (a facial recognition software for a banking application).
Gotoco is a social enterprise that improves cross-cultural understanding by connecting native English speakers to high-impact teaching organisations in other countries. My role involved examining large sets of both quantitative and qualitative data for impact assessment, using
Python (Spyder) as the primary analytical tool. I also produced publication-quality visuals to be used in documents distributed to shareholders, including the UK Government.

During my Mechanical Design module at university, I was tasked with researching our target audience (racing cyclists), and producing a set of user requirements based on my findings. I hugely enjoyed the project, and dedicatedly sought out the required information, even interviewing a Team GB athlete and coach; my grade for the module ranked in the top band of results.
